About Us

Hi-Way Auto Centre Ltd is a Locally owned business in Oamaru owned by Chris and Steve Rawson and their families.

The business was previously situated in Tees Street Oamaru from 1982 until making the move to Thames Street in 1993.

Hi-way Auto Centre is a well known company in Oamaru and is well respected within the community. With its main trade being a BP service station with a convenience store and Mechanical servicing and repair. They are also suppliers of cleaning chemicals and toilet tissues through North Otago cleaning Supplies.

Now we are proud to say that our workshop has been reopened 5 days a week, after many years of being open only part time.

Michael Corder has taken on the challenge of running this 3 bay workshop sole charge, with hopes of expansion in servicing capabilities and product availability.

Michael has been working around mechanical vehicles all his life and is also well known around the community. With a great knowledge of older vehicles aswell as modern computerised vehicles and technology, he strives to give customers the truth and satisfaction they deserve when having there vehicle assessed for repair or maintenance.
